Over thirty years ago my mother became interested in Christian Science, and it was at that time that I began attending a Christian Science Sunday School. No words could express the deep gratitude I feel for the many blessings that this sacred truth has brought into my life during these many years. God has been my sole Physician and the source of help in every need.

The preventive as well as the healing art of Christian Science has been wonderfully apparent in my experiences. A baby son was healed in less than twenty-four hours of what to all appearances was pneumonia, and another son was healed within twelve hours of incipient lockjaw. Many proofs have been given me of the truth of our revered Leader's statement in Science and Health (p. 424) that "under divine Providence there can be no accidents." Several years ago our son was shot in the pupil of the eye with a wooden bullet, the size of a large pea, discharged at close range from an air rifle. Through the verbal declaration of the truth, he was almost instantly freed from pain and there was not the least evidence immediately afterwards that an accident had occurred. Another proof of God's protective care was given about five years ago when the automobile which I was driving was struck by another car, hurled off the road, and crashed through a telephone pole without shattering a bit of glass or giving me even the least sense of jar, though the impact cracked the crankcase from end to end. Prayerful realization of Truth mentally entertained about an hour previous, to unsee the beliefs of an inharmonious situation that had arisen while driving, proved adequate to meet the later emergency without fear, and a most wonderful sense of God's presence and guiding hand was imparted.

Deep gratitude is felt for all the healings that have come to me and mine through the help of consecrated practitioners and especially for the healings which have aided me in looking at erroneous human situations through the lens of divine Science, replacing a personal, material sense with a more spiritual sense. This has given me a joy that cannot be taken away. I am profoundly thankful for the inspired writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for the many avenues that she has established in the Christian Science movement for the healing and regeneration of all mankind.
