For approximately twenty-five years of life more abundant under the banner of Christian Science, I am most deeply grateful. It has been our guide, philosopher, and friend, proving to us that God is "a very present help in trouble," ever since the day in 1910 when a worn and battered volume of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was placed in my hands. Since then drugs or physicians have had no part in our scheme of existence.

Many and varied are the healings that have come to us through the years. Typhoid, malaria, influenza, tonsillitis, scarlet fever, smallpox, chicken pox, measles, mumps, broken bones, the smoking habit, have been healed.

Of course, gratitude for the physical healings is very great, but more and more each day am I thankful for the spiritual understanding of God and of man in His likeness. In the language of the Bible I can truthfully say, "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift" to the children of men.
