I am most grateful that I have never known anything...
I am most grateful that I have never known anything but Christian Science, as my parents were active students of this truth years before I was born. From childhood I was taught always to turn to God, the omnipotent and omnipresent One, no matter what my problem might be, and I have always found help and guidance in so doing.
At present I am a senior at college. All along the way Christian Science has made my school life most happy and enjoyable because it has taught me to see only God's reflection in my instructors and classmates. I have also been very successful at school because, knowing myself to be the reflection of the one perfect Mind, I have passed my examinations well and without fear.
One of the first lessons I learned as a child was not to make a god of food, and to refuse any stimulants, such as tea and coffee. I was told to eat what was set before me and to ask "no question for conscience' sake," and to be grateful for what had been supplied. I found this early training especially helpful when I left home to attend college.
