About fourteen years ago Christian Science was brought to my attention by a friend. At that time I was suffering from stomach trouble, heart trouble, and an inward goiter, and had been under the doctor's care for more than eight years. All material means were tried, but without any relief from suffering, and I was constantly taking medicine of some kind. I became very much discouraged and without hope because I steadily grew worse. When this dear fried urged me to try Christian Science, saying she knew it would heal me, I was greatly encouraged and new hope inspired me to give it a trial. I visited a practitioner who lovingly took up work for me, and during this visit I was instantaneously healed of the stomach trouble. Much to my joy, I was again able to eat regular meals with my family; and this healing has been permanent. What joy and hope came into my life! I received new inspiration and found a God of love who healed my distresses. I was so happy that I wanted to know more about this truth that makes us free. I obtained a copy of the Bible, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and the Christian Science Quarterly, and earnestly began the study of this Science. I do not know just when the goiter disappeared, but with the help of the practitioner I was soon completely healed of this condition and of the heart trouble. I never can be grateful enough to God for these wonderful healings.

During the past fourteen years Christian Science has met my every need, and I have been protected in many ways. A severely sprained wrist was healed in a few days with the help of a practitioner. Upon leaving for work one day, I was suddenly stricken with an excruciating pain in the head and back. For a short time I knew nothing. I was awakened with these words coming from my daughter: "God is your Life." My first thought was, Thank God for His everpresence and protecting care. The next day I was able to go to work and by persistently applying the truth I was entirely healed in a short time. I have also been healed of many false traits of disposition, one of which was the habit of criticizing others.

Words fail me when I attempt to express my sincere gratitude to God for our dear Leader, whose inspired efforts have made it possible for us to receive untold blessings. I feel that the only real way of expressing my gratitude is to seek my own in another's good. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for class instruction; and for our wonderful periodicals, which are such a help to us. I am also sincerely grateful to all who have helped me along the way of Truth.
