Items of Interest
Those who are planning to attend the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church on Monday, June 3, 1935, will be interested in knowing that new seating arrangements have been adopted which, it is hoped, will facilitate attendance and conserve time. In past years many of those attending the meetings have felt it necessary to reach the edifice at an early hour before the stairs to the auditorium were opened, and several hours before the meeting began. Members attending for the first time, and those coming from a great distance, some at a sacrifice, were often unaware that to enter the church near the hour of the meeting, 2 p.m., would not enable them to have other than the rear seats.
It is hoped that the new arrangements will aid all, and that the changed procedure will be gladly welcomed. Thus co-operation is anticipated.
As is well known, a card of admission must be held by everyone who attends the meeting. For the purpose of issuing admission cards, the Sunday school room in The Mother Church Extension will be used, which may be entered from Falmouth Street at the corner of St. Paul Street, or from St. Paul Street, near the corner of Norway Street. These cards will be issued to members only, on Saturday, June 1, from 8.30 until 2.30 p.m., and on Monday, June 3, from 8.30 until 2.30 p.m. On Monday, the day of the Annual Meeting, the Sunday school room will be open until 2.30 p.m., so that those who are necessarily late comers may be provided for; but members are urged to obtain their cards as early as possible.
