It is with profound gratitude that I testify to the guiding, protecting, and healing influence which Christian Science has been in our lives. Some years ago, when we might have remained in the business position we then had, or taken one of two others that had been offered, we relied on divine Mind to govern us and were directed to change to our present position, which we feel has been our right place during these years. At a time when we did a great deal of traveling by automobile, we relied on the one intelligence to direct us. We did much night traveling over strange highways and many times through mist and rain and fog, but we always reached our destination safely, fully conscious of the all-presence and power of divine Love.

We have had many beautiful demonstrations of healing, both physical and moral. Four years ago I was healed of a painful condition of abscessed ears. I had a very high fever and had no desire to do anything but lie on my bed and rest. The practitioner who was helping me came one day and explained that God's child has dominion over anything unlike good and that it was my duty to reflect harmony and normal activity. By holding to these thoughts I was able and eager in a short while to study the Bible and our textbook, and was soon conducting my affairs in the normal way. The ears continued to drain quite extensively and to pain me for some time, but with the practitioner's help and much study on my part all fear of the pain was destroyed, and with it went the sense of deafness that had been manifested. This healing has been permanent, and I am truly grateful for the time and study it required, because it has helped me to take my stand during other trying times. I have also been healed of a broken bone due to tooth extraction. Colds, bilious attacks, headaches, and burns have been overcome, and unlovely traits of character are gradually being corrected.

In our home we have had an instantaneous healing of influenza; chicken pox was healed in one treatment; and a severe cut on our baby's hand was healed instantly by the declaration of the ever-presence of God, the absence of anything unlike Him, and by having not the least fear.
