It is with great joy that I take my place among those who are praising God for benefits received.

I have had many healings, both through my own work and through the work of practitioners, but there is one about which I should like to tell. A few weeks after my baby was born, an abscess formed on my breast. I was in a middlewestern city at the time and had already made arrangements to travel with my infant a thousand miles on a train. I told no one, except my husband, about my condition, as at the time I was living with people who did not understand Christian Science. I immediately called a practitioner, the one who had helped me through a rapid and harmonious childbirth. She again helped me to rise above fear and to leave for the East as planned.

When I arrived at my destination I called upon another practitioner and the work was continued. For three weeks there was little improvement, and at the end of that time we moved to the beach, where my duties were more strenuous. Here I should like to add that all through this experience I was able to attend to all of my household duties and to go about without anyone but my husband knowing of the condition. At the beach we called another practitioner. After the first treatment the lump began to draw. The practitioner called three times. During the night of the third day I awoke to find that the abscess had broken.
