Some six years ago, when life seemed uncertain and strength ebbed away, I resorted to the study of Christin Science, after learning something of it from a practitioner. There followed many visits with her and much of divine Love was unfolded in our talks together. The testing times came to prove to me that obedience was necessary. Many times did I retrace my steps, and while at times the way was dark, there was always enough light supplied to illumine the way Spiritward.

Now I feel it is time to express through our periodicals a fuller sense of appreciation for the precious "pearl of great price." I feel confident that many beautiful experiences are yet to be unfolded, and I am deeply grateful for the contentment which comes from serving in our branch church. I am grateful that "the purpose of divine Love to resurrect the understanding, and the kingdom of God, the reign of harmony already within us" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 154), has been unfolded somewhat, and for the peace and comfort, joy and strength that pass human understanding. Other healings accomplished have been of rheumatism, sprained ankle, cuts, lack, burns, and open sores. "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God."

I should like to express my appreciation of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and for the Journal, the Sentinel, the Herald, and the Monitor.
