Christian Science was brought to my notice through a loving sister-in-law who had been given up by the doctors, but who was healed through the study of Christian Science.

It appealed to me instantly, as I was suffering from chronic catarrh. I had a veritable drugstore surrounding me; and in my handbag, constantly with me, were material means which, however, gave me no relief. The healing of my sister-in-law encouraged me so that I threw out all medicine and used no material help; and to this day, after almost thirty years, I have not used any medicine and have had no return of the catarrh.

I have had many other healings. A scalded finger, which was very painful, was soon normal through my knowing the truth. I was also healed of a bilious trouble. At one time a growth on my face developed from a small pimple into a large mole. I feared cancer, as every symptom of the disease was manifest. A practitioner helped me to overcome fear, although I did not get much relief for several months; but one day, while bathing at the seashore, this growth dropped out, leaving a deep cavity which finally disappeared without leaving a blemish.
