Before I became interested in Christian Science, I visited churches of all denominations, but I could not seem to gain any understanding of God. About twenty years ago I visited a Christian Science church, and found the religion for which I was looking. I had many wonderful demonstrations just by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. One, which took place eighteen years ago, was the overcoming of the smoking habit which I had had since early boyhood; and I have had no desire to smoke since. I was also healed of the social drinking habit, which was supposedly inherited. For these and many physical healings I am deeply grateful.

I am also grateful for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church, and of a branch church, in which it is a pleasure to serve the Cause. I wish to express my appreciation for the help of a practitioner. I am learning daily to depend upon God. I am grateful to Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered and founded this wonderful religion, to the Board of Directors, and to all the workers.
