The Generous Work of Publishing

A familiar message about publishing peace in Isaiah's fifty-second chapter is rendered by a translator,

How fair on the hills the Ambassador's feet,
The Announcer of Peace.

The angelic message reported in Luke's Gospel was, "Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." The verse from the sixty-eighth Psalm which was chosen by the architect, and approved, for the superscription on the new building erected for the publishing work of The Mother Church, is, "The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it." The publishing Society is now better qualified than ever to do the work of an ambassador announcing glad tidings to all the people.
