God's Protection

ANNIE MARGUERITE BURTON

Can God fail him who seeks His guidance?
Can fear grip him who knows His power?
God's love forever will restore him
Who comes to Him when troubles lower.
His love has never failed His own
When they have but His goodness known.

God's law is stronger than all evil;
His truth can never change its name.
However true seem evil tidings,
His kindness is fore'er the same.
Then trust in God, in Him confide,
For Love is Love whate'er betide!
