Gratitude for the many benefits received from Christian Science prompts me to share with others the blessings my family and I have received in the past twelve years from the application of the truth as taught in our textbook. "Correct material belief by spiritual understanding, and Spirit will form you anew" (Science and Health, p. 425). I was formed anew after a thorough perusal and study of this book. Primarily, healing interested me. I had always loved the Scriptures, and had often wished and prayed for an understanding that would make the healing practiced by Jesus and his apostles applicable to our present-day ills. I shall never forget the joy I experienced when this light dawned upon my consciousness; I knew that I had found the truth.

My first healing was of a misplaced vertebra. It had occasioned me much discomfort and I could not raise my arm without pain. In pondering the truth as set forth in a Christian Science lecture, wherein the lecturer had quoted from Science and Health (pp. 476, 477), "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick," I was instantaneously healed of this trouble, and my joy was indeed great. I have had other healings, of chronic constipation, believed to be hereditary, lame back, colds, burns, and many other errors of mortal sense, such as fear, resentmetn, discouragement, and lack. I have great cause to be grateful for protection for myself, my husband, and sons, also for the Christian Science Sunday School, which my sons had the privilege of attending for several years. They have been beautifully healed and protected by a joyful and natural acceptance of this truth.

I cannot close without voicing my gratitude to our Leader, who has made this healing truth possible, and for the Bible and Science and Health, which are my daily companions. I am grateful for membership in a branch church, also The Mother Church. My one desire is to obey the command, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
