I give this testimony with the purpose of bringing healing, comfort, encouragement, and light to those who are discouraged. I was in that condition five years ago when a friend handed me a copy of Le Heraut; and gratefully I thank God and the practitioner who has helped me effectually many times. The understanding of the gentle everpresence of divine Love has helped me to overcome many difficulties. I also thank the friend who acquainted me with Christian Science. I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her marvelous discovery, which has showed us so clearly the way of Truth.

I have been healed of chronic constipation, after all known material remedies had been tried without result. For three years I have neither taken medicine nor consulted any doctor, but have clung with my whole heart to the truth. The understanding of Truth has overcome bad hemorrhages accompanied by fever, each time very quickly. One day when the loss of blood frightened me somewhat, and I was suffering more than usual, these words of Isaiah, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee," lifted all fear from me, and the next day I was better. I had always been afflicted with terrible headaches, which forced me to take to my bed, sometimes for several days. I have been healed of these, as well as of sores on my legs.

In the home, in our business affairs, as well as for my children, I have had demonstrations of God's power; and for some time I have been able to overcome difficulties by understanding that it is in God "we live, and move, and have our being." I am profoundly grateful for all these healings; but I am still more grateful for the change which has taken place in me and for the trust which I have in God, my only refuge, whom I have learned to know and love through Christian Science, which has abundantly supplied all my needs.
