Christian Science was brought to my attention about ten years ago by my employer. At that time I was in a deplorable state, both mentally and physically. For years I had been obliged to face a very unpleasant condition, and I took up the study of this Science to solve the problem. While it was being worked out with the help of a practitioner, I experienced healings of several physical conditions for which no specific work was being done. A chronic intestinal disorder which had troubled me since childhood, and had grown worse as I grew older, and for which I had not only taken all kinds of medicine but tried exercising and dieting without getting any relief, was completely healed. I was also healed of the tobacco habit.

It was a revelation to me to learn in Christian Science that God is ever present and the only power, consequently that evil has no power; and I presume that after my first healing I felt as did Jacob after his vision when he exclaimed, "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not."

I am grateful that Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved Leader, has provided such wonderful church services, and especially am I grateful for the Reading Rooms, where all may go and receive this truth, "without money and without price."
