In His Love
As
the kindly shepherd watches
O'er his flock with tender care,
So the heavenly Father keeps us
In His love, which all may share.
As the tender buds in springtime
Ope their leaves to sun and rain,
So God's children, in His likeness,
Find release from sin and pain.
As the grass each early morning
Drinks afresh the silent dew,
So may we in Love's own presence
Find true thoughts and strength renew.
As the birds upon the tree tops
Carol forth their happy lays,
So may we with hearts uplifted
Sing glad songs of love and praise.
