It is with deep gratitude and a desire to share with others some of the blessings which have come to me through the study of Christian Science that I give this testimony.

As the time drew near for my daughter to leave school, the sense of responsibility in deciding what work she should take up seemed very great. I knew there was God's purpose for every one of His ideas, and I started to work from that basis. I found that the work for which she seemed most fitted required a four years' course at a university; and from a financial point of view this seemed quite impossible.

One day I mentioned the situation to a Christian Scientist, who said in reply, "Every right idea brings its supply with it." I pondered those words for days, seeking understanding. One morning I thought of a rosebush on which were full-blown flowers and buds. The buds did not have to go to the full-blown flowers for any of their supply; from within themselves unfolded the color, perfume, petals, and all that they needed with which to express perfection. Then I saw how the unfolding of a right idea brings its supply with it, and I gained a better understanding of Mrs. Eddy's words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 506), "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear." As this added understanding came to my consciousness, the weight of personal responsibility lifted, and a great sense of peace and joy came to me. Very shortly afterwards my daughter was informed that she had been awarded a scholarship for four years, which would cover the necessary course she desired to take. This occurred over two years ago, and we have had proof that as the unfoldment takes place, the supply is there too.
