You of the graduating class have already seen the value...

You of the graduating class have already seen the value of looking upward. While you pursued your courses at the university, did you not find that as your vision was high and you were faithful to that vision, your mental capacity increased and success was enjoyed? H. G. Wells says that "education is the lifting of minds out of blind alleys." Have you not experienced this during your college years?

We are grateful to the benefactors who have lifted their eyes and labored to good effect, and we may well emulate their ways and means of accomplishing good.

In the stress of the present time let us consider a few of the occasions when Jesus looked upward or counseled his followers to do so, and see how we can profit by his example.
