Quelling Storms
[Written Especially for Children]
One bright Sunday afternoon a little girl sat on the veranda, thinking about the lake near which she lived. She was pondering the lesson discussed in the Sunday school class that morning. There had been a reference to the storm that Jesus stilled on the Sea of Galilee. The story was new to her, and the wonder of it filled her thought.
The child had seen some severe storms and extremely high waves on the lake, and she thought what a wonderful man Jesus must have been to quiet the waters on the Sea of Galilee, and how comforted those in the boat with him must have been when they saw the storm subside and the boat stop tossing. She decided to ask her Daddy about it. She found him reading, and climbed up on his lap. Then ensued a series of questions and answers, somewhat as follows:
"Did Jesus really stop that storm on the lake, Daddy?" she began. "Yes, dear; why do you ask?" he replied.
