It has been drawn to my attention that a lecture on Christian Science recently given in Poplar Bluff, and reported in part in the Daily American Republic of March 26, 1934, has aroused two rejoinders—one from a clergyman, who, as recorded in your paper of March 29, thinks the lecturer's explanation of the first and second chapters of Genesis is wrong—and one from another clergyman, as reported in your issue of March 31.

Perhaps we can all agree when we understand one another's meaning, for as Christians we serve the same God, the same Christ, the same Truth, and revere the same Bible.

We at least can probably all agree to accept Jesus' teachings. His effort was to point us to spirituality and away from materiality. He taught and pointed to the spiritual; and he and others who followed him preached the spiritual kingdom of God as against the carnal mind, sin, and materiality, because, as Paul said, "the carnal mind is enmity against God."
