Since girlhood I have enjoyed the many blessings which come as the result of knowing God aright through the teachings of Christian Science. When this Science was first presented to us our home was filled with seemingly hopeless conditions manifested as lack, sickness, and great inharmony. As the result of praying each day for guidance and deliverance from evil, Christian Science came as no uncertain answer to prayer in that darkest hour of our experience.
From earliest childhood I had dreaded growing up, having witnessed so much of sickness and sorrow. After we began the study of Christian Science much loving help was given to us by practitioners; and many beautiful healings took place. We had many demonstrations also through our own study and application of the truth.
One of my demonstrations in Christian Science will always mean much to me. By a single declaration of the truth I was instantaneously healed of what was thought to be fallen arches, after severe pain had made walking almost impossible. For several days preceding, as the pain grew steadily more severe, I had been held in bondage by fear, but was beautifully healed when I turned unreservedly to God. I have been specially grateful for this healing, as it came when I was away from home for the first time, teaching in a small town where there were no other Scientists. To me it was a wonderful proof of the ever-presence of divine Love and its never failing availability.
