In the report of your issue of February 3 of the third of the series of addresses by a professor reference was made to Christian Science, and the erroneous statement was made that, although the adherents of each system (of faith healing) might deny the fact, the healing in each case was by the same method. The teachings of Christian Science rest upon a basis which is quite different from all others. In Christian Science it is learned that there is in reality only one Mind, the divine Mind, which is God, and that the manifestation or expression of that Mind is the spiritual universe, including man. The healings wrought by Christian Science result from an understanding of this fact through learning to think as Christ Jesus thought, or to have the Mind of Christ. The carnal mind, which St. Paul declared to be "enmity against God," contains no remedy within itself for the true healing of sin and disease. From it one must turn away and look to God.

On pages 9 and 10 of her book "Unity of Good" Mrs. Eddy writes: "What is the cardinal point of the difference in my metaphysical system? This: that by knowing the unreality of disease, sin, and death, you demonstrate the allness of God. This difference wholly separates my system from all others."
