Christian Science came to us at a time when all earthly...
Christian Science came to us at a time when all earthly hope was gone. Our daughter was lying in a hospital. She had been unconscious and paralyzed for about three weeks and was being artificially fed. The doctors could give us no hope. They said that she might live, but that in such case she would be a hopeless cripple. It was then that we turned to Christian Science, and the results were truly amazing. The first thing she did was to move her head from side to side. I then mentioned to the practitioner that her arms were paralyzed and the next day she moved them. I told him that our child did not recognize us, and the next day she smiled when she saw us. After I told the practitioner about the feeding she took food by herself the next day. This all took place through absent treatment, as the practitioner did not see her until we brought her home, which was in about a week after treatment was started. In another week she was up and around, although the last thing the doctors said when she left the hospital was that it was very doubtful if she would ever walk again. Before long she was back in school, her health completely restored.
Since then we have had many other blessings and healings; and we are indeed grateful to God, to our Master, and to our beloved Leader for giving the world this glorious, liberrating truth. We are also grateful for the practitioners and for the spiritual understanding which we have gained through the study of Christian Science.—Joseph Judd Pope, Chicago, Illinois.
I wish to verify my husband's statements and express my gratitude for the blessings we have received.
