The Hall of Religion at the Century of Progress Exposition, Chicago, contains an exhibit sponsored by The Christian Science Board of Directors, and arranged by the Executive Committee of Christian Science Churches and Societies of Illinois for Christian Science Activities at A Century of Progress. This hall was not ready to open at the time of the official opening of the World's Fair, but is now receiving visitors.

At first when the exhibit was planned, such a hall was not among the buildings arranged for, but it is gratifying to know that the recognition came in time that religious activity during the past century had its place there. at the World's Fair in 1893, in Chicago, the Parliament of Religions so ably headed by the Hon. Charles Carrol Bonney, gave an impetus to religious progress, and during the Century of Progress Exposition, at least from August 27 to September 17, the World Fellowship of Faiths will hold conferences and arrange for talks by religionists from all parts of the world, representing various religious beliefs.

In 1893, as was mentioned in this column of the Sentinel of May 13, 1933, Christian Scientists participated with Mrs. Eddy's approval and guidance, and the event was a landmark in that it made Mrs. Eddy and her teachings better known and more respected. It also gave courage and inspiration to the Christian Scientists themselves, who responded in large numbers to Mrs. Eddy's request that they attend the Parliament on the days when Christian Science was to be represented.
