My first healing in Christian Science occurred over seventeen years ago, and was recorded in The Christian Science Journal; but since then I have received so many benefits from this beautiful teaching that again I feel a desire to express my gratitude through the columns of the literature.

For three years after beginning the study of Christian Science I felt as if I were treading on air, for each problem, whether of sickness, lack, or whatever it might be, was quickly and easily solved. But there came a time when I had to "come down to earth," so to speak, and work my way, sometimes not so quickly, upward again.

I have seen all sorts of sickness healed by this Science, and for these proofs of God's help in time of trouble I am very grateful. In a family including four children it has been my stay and guide, and on all occasions our only physician. I have seen pneumonia, measles, smallpox, influenza, rheumatism, and burns healed by its application, sometimes by my own work and study, at other times with the help of faithful practitioners. Here I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude for the help received from them. At one time I was under the care of a faithful worker for over a year. The trouble was a severe case of nervous prostration and complications, and many times during this trial I mentally and physically went down into a dark valley, but through her loving help I finally emerged into the light and found health and peace again.
