In gratitude to God for revealing to this age the healing power of Truth, as taught by Christ Jesus, our great Wayshower, and again made practical for us by our revered Leader, I desire to testify to the many blessings I have received through Christian Science.

While I did not become a student of Christian Science for physical healing, I soon had occasion to test its power. Previously I had been under medical observation for a growth diagnosed as a tumor. This difficulty soon became aggravated, so I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. While the condition was not immediately overcome, because my thought was imbued with faith in matter, which made Christian Science difficult for me to understand, still the patient work of the practitioner was finally rewarded with success, and the trouble subsided, though a gland continued enlarged. After a number of years the condition suddenly reappeared in a more menacing form. But this time I had grown into a better understanding of God, and to a great extent fear had been destroyed. Work was taken up with the same practitioner, and in one week's time the error was reversed, and there was left only a slight discoloration of the skin. This was a very wonderful experience to me, and it was while I was listening to a Christian Science lecture that I felt the crisis was past.

It would require space beyond that allotted for a testimony to tell of all the healings I have experienced, but I will mention the healing of influenza during the so-called epidemic of 1918, and again in 1927; of colds, sore throat, intestinal indigestion, burns, results of accidents, ptomaine poisoning, inaction, earache, and warts. The last healing was very helpful to me, because it showed so clearly the power of Truth. On leaving home for a visit to a place where I knew I should have time to work out the problem, and wishing to be obedient to the task Mrs. Eddy sets before us in the words, "The human self must be evangelized" (Science and Health, p. 254), I asked a practitioner to help me and began to work earnestly myself. In about four weeks three of the warts disappeared, and after I returned home the last one was eradicated.
