I am deeply grateful for the manifold blessings which have unfolded in my experience through the study and application of Christian Science. It has given me a larger and more spiritual sense of home, and is a constant guide and protection in my church, business, and social affairs. I have been healed of defective sight and thereby enabled to lay aside glasses which I had used since boyhood. This took place after reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for only a few weeks. I have also been freed from neurasthenia, mental depression, and other nervous disorders.

Over two years ago I was faced with the problem of unemployment through adverse trade conditions. For some months previous to notice being given me, I had been trying to bring a sense of freshness and spontaneity to the daily routine, and was greatly helped by what our Leader says on page 591 of the textbook regarding "morning," which she defines as "light; symbol of Truth; revelation and progress." Thus I saw that every morning can bring divinely mental progress if we will open thought to receive it, and that no circumstance can hinder this spiritual progress, which is constantly unfolding for all. When notice was given I felt no sense of fear or loss, but an abiding sense of quiet confidence in God. I was given a few weeks to find another position, and during this time I was led to call at a business house where, although I knew no one, I felt I might be of service. There was no vacancy then, but two days before I was due to leave my other situation I was informed that since my call an unexpected vacancy had occurred, and I was offered the opportunity of filling it. This proved to be a forward step in every way and has brought many blessings and progressive experiences.

I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the opportunities of sharing in church work, and for the help of class instruction. All this has been made possible to me and to thousands of others through the all-embracing love, spiritual-mindedness, and patient labor of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, to whom a vast debt of honor and gratitude is due.
