Probably the first radiocasting of an announcement of a Christian Science lecture to be delivered in the Far East took place in Shanghai, China, recently. The lecturer prepared the announcement and read it the first night over the radio, the First Reader reading it the second and third nights. The attendance at the lecture increased more than thirty-seven per cent over the attendance at the lecture of the preceding year, which was attributed to the announcement over the radio. After stating the date, hour, and place of the lecture, the announcement took the following form:

Christian Science was discovered and founded in the United States by a New England gentlewoman, Mary Baker Eddy. Mrs. Eddy left her entire estate (after providing for her nearest relatives) to be used for the extension of the religion of Christian Science as taught by her. In conformity with this, The Christian Science Board of Directors of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, The Mother Church of Christian Science, makes it possible for members of the Board of Lectureship to go to distant fields, in all parts of the world, to tell of this religion which effectually heals the sick and the sorrowing, the discouraged and the depressed.
