It is with a deep sense of joy and gratitude that I testify to the efficacy of Christian Science. I suffered for years with violent headaches. Many material remedies were tried and proved unavailing, and as a last resort I turned to Christian Science. I was advised to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the reading of which has proved to be my greatest blessing. I believed every word, although I did not understand, and by degrees the truth was revealed to me; I was able to demonstrate the power of Truth over error, and the headaches disappeared and have never returned. The healing came slowly, but with it came a most beautiful unfoldment of Truth.

In my struggle Spiritward I have been wonderfully helped by an experience which proved to me conclusively that Truth is found to be infallible when we take our stand for it. For several weeks I was troubled with an infected toe which I was unable to heal. One night the pain and the throbbing were so intense that I could not sleep. I got up and examined the toe; it was twice the normal size, and very much inflamed. The suggestion came that lancing was necessary, or a poultice. I suddenly realized where error was leading me and instantly reversed my thought, declaring that God's child could not be the recipient of poisonous thought, nor could aggressive mental suggestion dominate the spiritual idea. I soon fell asleep, and when I awakened in the morning there was absolutely no pain and the healing was complete.

I have had numerous other healings, and I should like to tell of an outstanding demonstration over which I shall never cease to marvel. As I was hurrying downstairs to answer the telephone one day, when halfway down I pitched head forward to the landing. My thought naturally turned to God, divine Love I was too stunned to feel pain, but my hand went to my leg and found a large protuberance. I experienced no fear, and declared God's presence; and instantly the lump went down. I returned upstairs, and only then did I feel excruiating pains all over my body, and particularly in my chin, which seemed to be out of shape. I did my metaphysical work as earnestly as I could, and was able to realize that "the body as matter has no sensation of its own" (Science and Health, p. 214), and that God's help is instantly available. The victory was glorious, for in a very short time I was able to prepare the evening meal. I feel so convinced that divine Love was my surgeon that words are inadequate to express my gratitude.
