The testimonies in the periodicals are consistently helpful...
The testimonies in the periodicals are consistently helpful to me. Therefore I wish to add mine to the many already written in loving gratitude. For four years Christian Science has been my only real source of help. Indeed, "the Comforter is come, ... even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father."
Christian Science has given me an understanding of God that has changed my whole attitude toward my work. Formerly it was something to get through with. Now it is a joyous, growing, thoughtful activity which must be done well, and not abandoned for other work that might seem more pleasant or lucrative, until the present task is really done. For this peace and steadfastness of purpose my gratitude cannot be expressed adequately.
Abundant health after years of nervous trouble, constipation, and a lifelong belief of not being strong is another reason for thankfulness. Also, such traits as timidity, lack, limitation, jealousy, and irritation have all been shown in their native nothingness through the teachings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
