It is a great joy to testify to the healing efficacy of Christian Science and to express gratitude for the many benefits received through its ministry.

When Christian Science was first brought to my attention by a friend twenty-three years ago I rejected it. I had just gone through an operation for a bad case of blood poisoning in my foot, leg, and thigh, and told him I felt that I required no further aid.

Shortly after this experience I met with a severe spinal injury. At the time I thought the injury merely a bad strain which I should soon get over; but physicians said otherwise, pronouncing the condition one from which I might never fully recover. They advised me to give up my position, which was that of traveling in the capacity of a service engineer for an automobile manufacturing concern, in order to receive proper medical attention, and to take things easy. I would not agree to this, preferring to take my chances in continuing on the road and having medical treatment as it became imperative. However, because of intense suffering I was forced to give up traveling for light work and to receive medical treatment. Among the various kinds of treatment, osteopathic, chiropractic, and violet rays were tried. I also wore elaborate appliances to restrict body movement; but nothing helped my condition.
