I am most grateful for the blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life. As I had an invalid mother to take care of for many years before I began the study of Christian Science, and had been told by the ministers of the church of which I was a member that God permitted this illness for some wise purpose, it was with deep gratitude that I learned the truth about God as taught in Christian Science: that He is infinite Love, that He does not permit or send sickness, and that the knowledge of His presence destroys all ills of mind and body. I was never really satisfied with what I was taught about God, but now I am positive of the everpresence of God and His ideas, because of the proofs I have had in Christian Science. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
I have been healed of much sensitiveness by realizing that if my thoughts are filled with love there is nothing to be hurt. Before hearing of Christian Science I sprained an ankle and was on crutches over three months. Soon after reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy I sprained the same ankle under the same circumstances, and it was healed in three days. I have also been healed of weekly headaches, frequent colds, a cracked rib, and minor ailments through my study of Christian Science. With the help of a practitioner I was healed of scarlet fever, pneumonia, and influenza. Christian Science has given mankind certain rules, obedience to which will solve all problems. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to prove this truth; and I am thankful to God for sending Christian Science to the world by His messenger, Mrs. Eddy.
