I have been interested in Christian Science for over six years, having become interested in it through my sister, who has had many splendid healings. About a year before she had tried to bring the truth to me, but I was not all receptive to it, rather the contrary. I did not want to give up my former way of thinking. I was not ready until sorrow, economic cares, and sickness seemed to weigh me down to the earth. Suddenly I understood, as if scales had fallen from my eyes, that if God had helped others, He could also help me if I learned to know Him aright. And then Christian Science became "the way" to me.

As a result of severe rheumatism I could not walk without a cane, but after three weeks' daily study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I could lay aside the cane and was entirely well. During these years not the slightest doubt has ever crept in; I have daily thanked God, who has given us this way of salvation from all the fetters of error, errors which would seem to bind us and make us poor, miserable creatures, instead of free, happy children of God. Slowly, step by step, the understanding of ever present divine Love has come to me; and at every step it has been possible to solve a problem which had oppressed me.

Through the help of a practitioner my daughter has been healed several times of various kinds of sickness, such as severe attacks of appendicitis which yielded in a few hours, high fever, influenza, and lately of suppuration in the foot with accompanying pain. The pain disappeared quickly, and the next day all soreness was gone. I have also been healed of severe colds through help in Christian Science.
