I am glad to take this opportunity of expressing my very great gratitude to Christian Science for all the wonderful blessings that it has brought to me, particularly during the last three years. I have been helped more than I can say by the church services, lectures, testimonies, and authorized literature. I am very grateful for the help I have received from a faithful and consecrated Christian Science practitioner. Through work done for me I have not only been led back into Science (which I had left for about five years), but amongst other things I have been delivered from a most desperate business situation, which threatened to ruin me.

Through a grave mistake I involved a firm for whom I was working in a law suit. Proceedings were started against us and heavy damages were claimed. Perhaps only those who have been in a similar predicament can realize what a terrible panic I was in; and as the whole thing came about through my own fault, I felt that I had hardly any right to expect escape from punishment. How grateful I was for the practitioner's calm assurance that God is always merciful! I can never say how much that meant to me! Proceedings continued for about eight months, and I had many terrible battles with fear during that time. When mental anguish seemed almost unbearable, I used to call the practitioner on the telephone and ask for help. I would always receive the blessed reassurance of our Father's love and compassion. So marvelous is the power of Truth and Love, and so wonderful was the work done for me in Science, that I slept peacefully every night, and was given strength to go about my work as usual each day.
