Christian Science has been my only physician for many...
Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and I cannot imagine what my life would have been without this wonderful truth as revealed to us by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
I was a very delicate child, having all the so-called children's children's diseases as they came along and other more serious illnesses. As I grew to womanhood I was extremely nervous and lacked the vitality of other girls of my age. I was told that I had inherited a weak constitution and should never be strong and robust; that I might live some years, but should probably never be able to do the things that a normal woman could do.
After having help from a Christian Science practitioner qnd gaining some understanding of the truth myself. I began to realize my true inheritance, namely, that my health does not depend on that of my earthly parents; that divine Love is my Father-Mather, and I can inherit nothing but good. As I held to these spiritual facts and my understanding of Christian Science increased, one after another of the physical discords which I had been manifesting disappeared, and I grew to be strong and well, able to do as much as any normal woman. My physical appearance was so changed and improved that when I returned to the town where I had lived previous to taking up the study of Christian Science, old acquaintances passed me on the street without recognizing me.
