After enjoying the bountiful blessings which Christian Science...
After enjoying the bountiful blessings which Christian Science affords us all, I feel that longer to withhold my testimony to the efficacy of Christian Science healing would be most ungrateful of me. In the twelve or more years that my husband and I have been interested in Christian Science there have been many healings in our home, among them healings of an abscessed tooth, pain during dentistry work, inflammation of the intestines, ptomaine poisoning, influenza, influenza-pneumonia, severe lacerations, bruises and burns, colds, acute indigestion, the smoking habit and the social drinking habit. We have received wonderful protection from accidents and holdups. We have been sustained and helped physically, morally, and financially, and have been given strength and courage in sorrow caused by the passing on of dear ones.
I pray daily for a better understanding of Christian Science, for the overcoming of wrong traits, habits, and tendencies, that I may become "a vessel . . . meet for the master's use." I am grateful for all the help which I have received from practitioners; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for class instruction; for all the activities of Christian Science; also for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school; and, last but not least, for the precious work of our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who made all this possible.
(Mrs.) Edna Weil Raphael, Chicago, Illinois.
