Stay On

JOSEPHINE HAWKS

O angel messengers that bless,
And gently tarry to caress,
Stay sweetly long;
Stay closely, lest this heart of mine
Should so forget as to repine
For want of song.

Do not depart until I know
The full effulgence of Love's glow.
In heaven's light
Abide until the day shall break
And glory triumph in its wake.
Divinely bright.
