Six years and a half ago, through the unselfed love of a neighbor, I was led to Christian Science. In addition to almost constant physical ailments I was suddenly faced with what seemed a tremendous problem; and it was because of this I was invited to attend a Christian Science church service. It is impossible to describe the love that was shown to me then, as it has been at each service since that time. I very quickly became healthy, and slowly the other difficulty just melted away before the sunshine of Truth, and I learned to understand more of the real man.
Since then I have had many proofs of the allness of God, good, and the consequent nothingness of evil. An experience I had while staying in Scotland one year proved that time and space can present no obstacles to the elimination of pain by a right understanding of God. I was attacked by inflammation of the throat, which made eating and speaking painful. I knew Christian Science could heal this condition and set to work to destroy the wrong thinking which had caused the discord. As healing was not realized within one day, I wired for help from a practitioner many miles away, and exactly eight hours later my throat became perfectly normal. Many other healings have taken place when I have obeyed Mrs. Eddy's inspired message in "Science and Health withKey to the Scriptures" (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized."
For all the joy, health, and friends gained through seeking "first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" I am deeply thankful; and the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church I hope to repay with loving service.—(Mrs.) Doris F. Carmalt, Wylde Green, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.
