Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Illinois.

More newspaper copy relating to Christian Science has been printed during the past year than in any year since this office was established. This Committee is convinced that this increased publicity is largely responsible for a noticeable decrease in letters of correction, a most progressive step when it is considered that to obviate the need of press corrections is the chief purpose of this office. Abundant space seems available when it is needed for lecture reports, church announcements, and notices of our Sunday services containing excerpts from the Lesson-Sermon. The "Good Thoughts for Good People" items continue to supply interesting copy for a host of readers. Timely editorials from the Christian Science Sentinel are frequently republished by newspapers in "Go to Church" Sunday announcements.
