I should like to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and for my family during the past six years and a half. For eight years I had suffered from an incurable condition of the spine and kidneys, resulting from an injury. X-ray pictures were made, and after a consultation the doctors decided nothing could be done but to use morphine to help relieve the suffering. Even worse than the physical suffering was the great fear of becoming entirely helpless.

At this time my brother asked me to try Christian Science. After reading a copy of a lecture that this brother had mailed to me, I decided to try it. I found a copy of The Christian Science Journal in a waiting room, selected the name and address of a practitioner, and wrote to her for advice and for an appointment. I shall never forget the loving way in which she greeted me; and I left her home in an exalted state of mind. In five treatments the above-named condition was entirely healed, and it has never returned.

I have also been healed of constipation, which had troubled me since childhood; of a badly sprained ankle in one treatment; of sorrow caused by separation from a very dear friend; and of bleeding piles. Hatred, malice, and other faults of character are daily yielding to the power of Truth. A bad temper has been overcome, and our home is more harmonious. While I am grateful for all the physical healings, I am more grateful for the spiritual understanding and the peace that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science.
