The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Paris, France (Second Church).

Lecturer: William Duncan Kilpatrick; introduced by Lewis Rex Miller, who said:—

Much is being said to-day about the economic depression through which almost the whole world appears to be passing. What we are to hear in this lecture will, no doubt, help us to see the way out of this condition. One of the first instances on record in which an entire people were led through and out of a depression by divine Love was when the children of Israel, hard pressed by the Egyptian armies, passed over the bottom of the Red Sea, walking on dry land, with the waters forming a wall on their right hand and on their left. They were by no means the last to experience divine deliverance from a depressed condition of thought. Not a few people in this audience, myself included, have experienced the beneficent results of applying the truth as revealed by Christian Science, not only to cases of sickness and sin, but also to business problems.
