Among the Churches

Boulder, Colorado (First Church).—A large expenditure for First Church of Christ, Scientist, located at Thirteenth and Mapleton Streets, has been authorized by a meeting of their church members. Growth of the congregation of the church and a desire to play a part in giving employment to tradesmen prompted the decision. The church building was constructed in 1925–1926. The exterior of the building was completed, but the main auditorium, balcony, and Readers' platform on the main floor were not. The work will begin at once.

Services have been held in the first floor rooms, which will be turned over to the Sunday school upon the completion of the auditorium. The first floor has fine light and ventilation and is ideal either for church or Sunday school purposes. The auditorium of the church is forty by fifty-four feet, and has accommodations for two hundred and seventy-nine on the main floor and seventy in the balcony.

The Readers' platform will be constructed at the west of the auditorium, in which section two fine Reading Rooms have been in use for several years. These Reading Rooms will be used for the organ, and new Reading Rooms will be built on the same floor as the auditorium.—Camera.
