I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the kindly spirit manifested in your article of November 8, in regard to the recent sermon broadcast over Station WBOW, in which you mention the effect which it had on members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Terre Haute. Thinking that some of your readers may have received a wrong impression, I would appreciate space for a short correction in regard to the subject matter of the sermon and the indictments by a certain person.

Christian Scientists are certainly interested in their religion, and are ever alert to see that any misrepresentations of it are corrected. It is not surprising that Christian Science should be criticized and opposed. Its phenomenal growth has been in spite of the most aggressive attacks; and it will continue to carry on. Jesus said, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake." And, like Paul, we can say, "None of these things move me."

As to the publishing of the Christian Science lectures in the daily papers, your readers will find no attacks on any other religion in these lectures, and no depreciation of the attempts of others to overcome evil with good; but, on the contrary, they will find that they give hope, courage, and a concept of life which will enable them to meet the present human needs.
