My mother was interested in Christian Science when I was born, seventeen years ago; and I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her discovery and explanation of it.

I was healed of several children's diseases and also of peritonitis, but the healing I am most grateful for took place in 1924. I was playing in our backyard when I saw a big dog chasing a small one. The small dog ran around a house and I ran after it. As I passed the big dog he sprang at me and bit the left side of my face beside the mouth, tearing through to the inside of the mouth. I ran to my mother, who immediately gave me a Christian Science treatment; and very soon the pain stopped. A practitioner was asked for help. Within a few days the sore had started to heal; and in a very short while it was completely healed, except for a slight scar, which is now almost gone. I am more thankful than words can tell that although bitten by a big dog I am not afraid of dogs now.

In the same year two of my fingers were cut and were healed immediately. Since then I have had several minor cuts, burns, and sicknesses, but all have been healed.
