Many blessings have been mine since I began the study of Christian Science, and many physical healings have come to me through this study and with the help of practitioners. My life has been more harmonious, and I find the Scripture saying literally true, that "all things work together for good to them that love God."

In trying to open a can of chloride of lime, I found it necessary to pry open the cover, which had become rusted. As I did so, the contents flew into my face, into one of my eyes and on to my chest. I washed my face and eye quickly, but did not notice that some of the powder had lodged on my chest, resulting in a large burn. My eye was closed, and I could not open it. The truth was declared and help was asked from a Christian Science practitioner. There was no pain from the eye, nor from the chest. In a day and a half I began to see a streak of light, and this assured me that the sight was not impaired. Right here I want to express gratitude for an article in The Christian Science Journal for June, 1926, which a friend read to me, entitled "Perception." This article brought out the fact that sight is eternal, spiritual, and this was a great comfort and help. In less than two weeks I was able to drive a car, being able to see with both eyes.

My heart is full of gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who labored so unselfishly to make healings like this possible.
