I am very grateful to God for the many wonderful blessings He is constantly bestowing on our family and on me. When Christian Science was first brought to my attention, it found me a mental, physical, moral, and financial wreck, a victim of a complication of ailments on which the many material systems of healing had been exhausted without avail. Being informed that there was no hope for my recovery, I was without a hope in the world. To intensify matters, my wife and our three children were constantly ailing. The children were supposed to have inherited their ailments from me. Our home was in constant torment, and many a night, upon retiring, we cared not whether we ever awoke again or not.

Then one night the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was offered to me by a friend. It was eagerly accepted. I commenced reading it at once, and upon completion of about two pages a most wonderful light appeared to me. The old heaven and the old earth began to disappear and a new heaven and a new earth to appear; yes, a new concept of God came to me, and I found myself delivered from my ailments, requiring but a treatment from a loving practitioner to eliminate from my consciousness a few lingering fears. In quick succession my wife and our three children were delivered from bondage, and our home became a haven of harmony, joy, and peace—the peace which passes all understanding; and it has remained so ever since. Not only have we regained our health, but never before have we experienced such good health as we now have.

While we are very grateful to God for the wonderful physical healings that we have had and are constantly experiencing, I am thankful beyond words for the great mental uplifting which accompanied these healings. I am also grateful for the moral regeneration which accompanied my original healing, when I found myself delivered from the curse of alcoholism, the desire for tobacco, the use of profane language, and many other useless and nonessential habits. Our financial status has also been greatly elevated. We have applied Christian Science in every problem, and a good result has invariably followed when the Principle of Christian Science was correctly and conscientiously applied. I could not begin to enumerate all the wonderful healings we have experienced.
