I am very grateful that Mrs. Eddy's beautiful words, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," taken from page 494 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," are written on the walls of many of our churches, because they have brought peace and healing to numberless people.

I read these words on entering a Christian Science church thirteen years ago, and they brought me hope that there might be a way out of apparently great difficulties. I was then in dire need of health, happiness, and healing from acute poverty. As a young girl I had much illness, owing to overwork and strain, and when still young was faced with the prospect of earning my living. I seemed much handicapped by my then poor health, the remembrances of past illness, and the fears of future illnesses, one of which was thought to be hereditary, besides the lack of normal education. My first few weeks of study of the textbook and attendance at the services of one of the Christian Science churches in London brought me immediate physical healing. I became strong and happy, so much so that several people who had not seen me for some years did not recognize me at first.

I am very grateful for these two healings, which have proved permanent; but the third healing, that of poverty, is the one which stands out far above all else. At the present time, when unemployment and lack claim to be universal problems, it is encouraging to know that these errors may be healed by reliance on the teachings of Christian Science.
