The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Boston, Massachusetts (The Mother Church).

Lecturer: William Wallace Porter; introduced by George Shaw Cook, who said:—

Students of the Bible are familiar with the opening words of the ninety-first Psalm: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Those students of the Scriptures who have also become students of Christian Science are learning that this passage metaphysically or spiritually interpreted might be rendered, He who dwells in the consciousness of God's omnipresence abides under the protection of omnipotence. Our lecturer has chosen for his subject, "Christian Science, the Habitation of Good," and as we listen to him we shall, I am sure, gain a better understanding of the omnipresence and omnipotence of God, infinite good.
