It is with great joy that I express my gratitude for all the blessings which have come to me in Christian Science.

Recently while visiting in Berne, I attended a Christian Science service. This opportunity seldom occurs because I live a long way out in the country. On returning home I found my little daughter, whom I had left in the care of a cousin, in tears on a sofa. At first I thought that she had simply missed me, so I did not pay much attention. Then I was told that she could not walk. I set down beside her and repeated "the scientific statement of being" from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 468). Then the child told me that she could neither stand, walk, nor sit because of the pain she seemed to be suffering in her left side. Fear attempted to assail me, all the more so since she is my only child. I telephone at once to a dear practitioner who had helped me often to overcome difficulties. Very soon the child and I became quiet, the tears ceased, and only now and again was there a moan to be heard. When dinner time arrived, I took the child in my arms. When we were helfway down the stairs, she said suddenly, "Mother, I can walk again;" and she ran ahead.

I cannot express my gratitude in words for this beautiful experience. I am so happy to be privileged to know that God is Love, an ever present help, by which we may always be wonderfully protected. I am very grateful to Jesus the Christ, and to Mrs. Eddy, that they revealed God's Word to us.—(Mrs.) Bethli Hofer, Grünenmatt im Emmental, Switzerland.
