The testimonies in the Christian Science Sentinel and The Christian Science Journal have been such a help to me that I wish to give mine, that it may help someone as I have been helped. When I first asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment a number of years ago, I was instantaneously healed of a severe eye trouble for which I was wearing glasses when reading or doing any close work. I was also healed in a few months of stomach trouble. I had been on a diet for over a year, and it was with joy and gratitude that I felt the fear of different kinds of food disappearing and a normal activity of the body taking place. During this time an organic trouble disappeared without any specific help for that particular ailment.

We moved from town to a ranch in another part of the state while I was still a young student in Christian Science, and there were many opportunities there to put into practice what I had learned and was daily learning. There were no Christian Scientists near; no telephone was available; hence there were many occasions to prove God's allness. One day, during the worst of an influenza epidemic, a member of our household was taken violently ill. After putting her to bed, I called to one who was working in the orchard to send a telegram to a practitioner, there being no one whom we could call in this little town at that time. This was about four o'clock in the afternoon, and in a couple of hours the little girl was sleeping peacefully. When she awoke, she asked to get up. A member of the family was very sick later, and during this time a malignant growth entirely disappeared in about a month, through absent treatment.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 550) we read, "God is the Life, or intelligence, which forms and preserves the individuality and identity of animals as well as of men." We proved this many times while on the ranch and found the animals very responsive.
